Formed in 1985, Roksan joined the world of specialist super audio with the introduction of its first high end record player , the Xerxes.

Within a few months of its first production run, the Xerxes was regarded as one of the best sounding, "best built record players in the world"
As a serious record player without a sprung sub-chassis, it radically challenged conventional suspension designs and set a new reference.

Roksan products incorporate novel ideas and unique design features always complementing form and function.

20 Years of Roksan

 " 1985, its first product the Xerxes, introduced a new design concept for record players proving that sprung sub-chassis designs do not accurately reproduce music.

" 1986, with the Darius speaker Roksan was the first company ever to completely isolate the speaker tweeter from the bass unit.
This design concept has since been followed by other high end speaker makers.

" 1987, the first ‘intelligent’ record player arm, the Artemiz, was introduced. " 1987, also the first Roksan MC phono cartridge, the Shiraz was launched. This cartridge is used in the most sophisticated analogue playback systems.

" 1988, Roksan's first life style product, the Hot Cake speakers in a variety of lacquered colours were launched. This set a trend for the design and manufacture of life style products in the specialist audio industry.

" 1989, Roksan introduce the first high end phono amplifier, Artaxerxes, that fitted inside the Xerxes and plugged directly to the tone arm. " 1989, was also the year when the Radius record player, Tabriz arm and Corus cartridge became the hallmark of a budget record playing system.

" 1990, Roksan introduced its first range of electronics, the ROK S1 stereo amplifier and M1 mono amplifier with matching pre amplifiers and power supplies. Regardless of huge advances in electronics in the last fifteen years, these amplification systems remain amongst the very best available.

" 1991, Roksan's first CD player, the ROK DP1 with its wooden multiple plinths and art Deco looks became an immediate classic. Fifteen years on, the ROK DP1 is a collector's item. " 1991, was also the year when top of the range TMS record player was made. This most high end of all Roksan record players was offered in black piano lacquer with mirror chrome details. In the same year, perfectly matching specialist analogue and digital Interconnects and Speaker cables were designed and manufactured.

" 1992, Roksan replaced the ROK DP1 with the Attessa CD playing system consisting of CD transport, DAC and power supply.

" 1993, production of the new Ojan 3 and 3X loudspeakers started. The 3X was a modern day Darius.

" 1994, Rokone loudspeaker in a variety of real wood veneers was released. 1994, was also the year when the Attessa and the ROK series of products where fully upgraded to DP3 and ROK 1.5 versions with unparalleled performance and improved aesthetics.

1995 10th anniversary Xerxes.X replaced the original Xerxes. This new 3 plinth design implemented ideas from the reference TMS record player to set a new performance standard.

By 1995 Roksan had embarked on designing specialist high end audio for music lovers whose needs went beyond those of the 'Audio Enthusiasts'.

This required facilitating the use of extremely competent equipment as well as aesthetics to enhance the home environment and in
" 1998, after three years of intensive research and development, the four piece Caspian Audio System (Integrated amplifier, CD Player, Stereo amplifier and FM Tuner) was launched.
Classic timeless good looks and excellent sound and build quality have ensured the continued popularity of this series.

" 1999, a Surround Sound Processor DSP, a Five Channel AV amplifier and DVD player were added to the Caspian system.

" 2000, Introduction of the new Kandy line, Roksan's life style starter Audio System.

" 2001, the Caspian Phono Amplifiers were released.

" 2002, TMS 2, a new reference in vinyl replay, replaced the original TMS.

" 2003, release of the stunning Radius 5 turntable and Nima tone arm , and promotion of the Roksan Set Up LP for record players.
" 2003, Kandy MKIII system, (Kandy Integrated amplifier, Stereo amplifier, Three channel amplifier, CD player and AM/FM Tuner)released in the same year.

" 2004, Caspian M-series (Pre amplifier, Mono amplifier, Integrated amplifier, Stereo power amplifier, Phono amplifier, CD player, FM Tuner and dedicated Xerxes speed control). " 2004, Roksan also released ALTITUDE, its first ever recording of a collection of some very special music from some very talented musicians.

2005 20th anniversary Xerxes.20 replaced the Xerxes.X. The new high gloss maple record player incorporated the new improved bearing, TMS2 bearing ball and the new Rmat-5.

 " 2005, also witnessed the introduction of the Caspian Stereo and AV Loudspeakers in piano black finish and a perfect match for the Caspian and Kandy systems. The specialist isolation
sub plinth for record players, reference R-series7 mono block, pre amplifier, and ......

Roksan started life as a record player manufacturer. It has now over 30 different products which include analogue and digital sources, electronics and
amplification for pure audio as well as home cinema and speaker lines. In the specialist Audio industry,
