    Hi all

We had a party over the weekend and the Roksan Kandy amp (MkIII) was tested to the limit to say the least. (Don’t think the neighbours were too happy!)
However, the amp overheated after around 4-5 hours of play - the sound quality just went. I couldn't put my hand on the amp at all, it was so hot.
It sounded as though the speakers had been covered with a blanket.
I have the amp separated on my rack with nothing sitting on top of it, so I can only put this down to playing the amp at a high volume for a long period of time.
Before I start looking for my receipt to see if it is still under warranty, can someone tell me how long Roksan Kandy amps are guaranteed for and what the problem could be.
Is there a chance that the speakers may be the problem? I am only presuming the amp as it was like a frying pan on Saturday night.

    Thank in advance
    Chris

I'd get your 'speakers checked out, too: dull sound often equates to fried tweeters.
Warranty? You ARE having a laugh, surely!?

Just a quick follow up as the thread has been viewed a few times......

Nothing was wrong with the Kandy - it's still working and still a cracking amp....can't fault it at all. It ended up being the "fried tweeters".
